Holding Our Leaders Accountable: Safeguarding Constitutional Rights and Democracy Amid Unprecedented Technological Advancements

Defending Democracy in the Age of artificial intelligence (AI)

In an era where technological advancements are transforming our society at an unprecedented pace, it is crucial to hold our leaders accountable for upholding the rights enshrined in our Constitution. As Americans, we must ensure that our freedoms, particularly freedom of speech, are protected, even as we navigate the complex landscape of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation.

Recently, I experienced multiple instances of censorship on Meta's Facebook. My content, which included a call I had with a member of the U.S. Congress, was repeatedly removed due to “violating community guidelines” despite a very strong internet connection.

During this call, I discussed the pressing issue of job displacement due to AI and automation, and the need for the government to intervene. In April alone, an average of 2,100 employees were let go daily. This alarming trend is a direct result of U.S. tech companies streamlining their operations with AI to boost corporate profits, leading to the termination of about 10% of their workforce on average.

I urged the government to halt this wave of layoffs and protect American workers from the unchecked power of technology. However, my attempts to raise awareness and call for action have been stifled by censorship on social media platforms.

As we grapple with these challenges, it is more important than ever to demand transparency and fairness in content moderation. We must push back against the suppression of vital discussions about the impact of technology on our jobs and society.

How can we ensure that our leaders are truly accountable and committed to protecting our constitutional rights in the face of such rapid technological change? What steps can we take to safeguard the freedom and rights of all Americans?

Let's continue this conversation and fight for a future where technology serves humanity, not the other way around.

Will we rise to the challenge and defend our democracy, or will we allow technological advancement to undermine the very freedoms we hold dear?
