Holding Twitter/X Accountable for Fairness and Transparency

In the age of social media, platforms like Twitter/X wield enormous influence over public discourse. But what happens when that power is misused? Recently, during a live broadcast featuring Elon Musk and 2024 presidential candidate Donald Trump, I noticed a troubling pattern—comments supporting Trump were prominently featured, while critical comments about other candidates, such as Kamala Harris, were suppressed.

This selective visibility raises concerns about the platform's bias, especially during a crucial election season. As a user, I’ve formally filed a complaint, demanding transparency and accountability from Twitter/X. The platform plays a vital role in shaping public opinion, and if its algorithms are manipulated to favor specific political ideologies, it undermines free speech and democracy itself.

Platforms like Twitter/X must be held accountable to ensure they remain spaces for open and fair discourse, where all voices can be heard equally. I have also reached out to Elon Musk directly, requesting answers on how Twitter/X plans to address this issue and uphold democratic principles in content moderation.

We cannot allow digital platforms to distort the democratic process. Now is the time to demand transparency and push for reforms that ensure these platforms remain true to their responsibility for fair and balanced communication.
